An elderly Chinese man was walking along a sidestreet in Manhattan when a street sweeper truck made a sharp turn and clipped him with its broom mechanism. The man fell backwards and hit his head on the curb sustaining mild brain damage. The plaintiff was retired and had no dependents.

Mr. Dansker settled this case over the telephone with the Corporation Counsel's Office, something that is all too rare an occurrence.

Mr. C, a young man with two young daughters was on the job collecting trash one evening when the driver of his truck lost control and hit a pole ejecting the plaintiff and causing him to slice his femoral artery in his leg. The ambulance took him to St Barnabas hospital where he sustained compartment syndrome in his abdomen and he died 12 hours later.

An extremely large recovery is expected in the future for the daughters of this young hardworking man.
