When New York parents are deciding on a day care facility for their children, there are multiple factors that they need to consider. Location is important; having a facility that is conveniently located can potentially save a lot of time spent traveling for both parents and kids. Certainly, cost is always a concern as well. However, there are always unforeseen circumstances – some that can end up with parents’ worst fears being realized. This is the case with the family of a 7-year-old Texas boy. He was at his day care last week when he bumped a table and a large television toppled over and struck him on the head. The boy died a few days later.
Details about the incident are scarce thus far. It’s not clear exactly what happened, but for something like this to occur, it would seem at least possible that a caregiver was not in the area at the time of the accident, or someone wasn’t paying attention.
